HEARTY CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE VALIANT ENGINEERS @NSE OGBOMOSO AND KUDOS TO THE 2023/2025 (a.k.a 5.0 VALIANT) EXCOS
“Not to us, Lord, not to us, but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness- Psalms 115:1”
This day Thursday August 28, 2025 the 5th Set of Executive Committee of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) under the Chairmaship of Engr. Samson Olakunle Ojoawo, FNSE successfully completed the 2-year tenure gloriously handed over to the 6th Set being ably led by the First Female Chairman in the history of the Branch, Engr. Prof. Alice Olufunke Oke, MNSE during the 10th AGM & Induction Ceremony of the Branch.
Permit me to kindly appreciate the President and Chairman-in-Council of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala, FNSE and her Team for the tremendous support received during the period of our service. I sincerely thank all the founding fathers/mothers, Elders, Past Chairmen, Fellows, Members and indeed everyone in NSE Ogbomoso Branch for the rare privilege granted us to lead the Society in those 24 months from September 2023 till the end of our tenure today. I thank all our colleagues within and outside the Branch, other Branch Chairmen of NSE, our fathers and mothers at the “AGBOLE” forum, spiritual and academic mentors, royal fathers, community leaders, my immediate family- my lovely wife, Dr Mrs. Olubunmi Ojoawo and our children, all our extended families and relations, associates, friends and fans, households of faith, neighbours, and indeed everyone for being there with us all through till this successful tenure end 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.

Permit me to seize this medium to heartily congratulate and thank each and every member of the 2023/2025 NSE OGBOMOSO ExCos for reaching this cheerful end. The cooperation, commitment, sacrifices and total dedication of the ExCos to tasks of the Branch during the tenure, all have made the team to achieve tremendous success within the short period of time. The outputs from our efforts are so obvious to everyone both at the Branch and National level to see (more details are contained in the summarized report published in 10th AGM Brochure). I am not taking this for granted, we have all made it happen.
Today we are highly pleased leaving the office far better than we have met it. The stablility of the Branch, rapid growth of Branch’s membership and Fellowship cadres, clear feasibility of the Branch at the National and International Levels, pronounced progress of the NSE Ogbomoso Secretariat Project, regularity of monthly general meetings, positive society impacts in the Community , professional development of members, improved welfare support for members, and the likes were witnessed in the just concluded 5.0 Valiant ExCos tenure.
In summary, I enjoyed working with you all the Valiant Engineers and of course beyond the Branch.
While congratulating our new Chairman and her ExCos, my sincere prayer is that they would keep the flag flying, raise the banner higher, and improve largely on the good foundation well laid by our founding fathers/mothers and predecessors and on which we have contributed our quota to its development over the last 2 years of service.
Once again I thank you all for unflinching support which has eventually decorated our tenure with outstanding successes.
I wish us well in our future endeavours. Meet you all up there!
Long live NSE OGBOMOSO, long live NSE NATIONAL!
Yours,
Engr. Prof. Samson Olakunle Ojoawo, FNSE
Immediate Past Chairman, NSE OGBOMOSO, August 28, 2025 (3.10pm)
